The Gospel
The good news of Jesus Christ in short form — and why it is the foundation of everything we do.

The short form
God made the world, and He made you — in His image, for Himself. We have all rebelled against Him: not just “mistakes”, but sin against a holy God, and the sentence is death and judgement (Romans 3:23; 6:23). But God, rich in mercy, sent His Son. Jesus Christ lived the life we owed and died the death we deserved, bearing God’s wrath in the place of sinners, and rose bodily from the grave. Now God commands everyone, everywhere, to repent — to turn from sin — and to trust in Christ alone, and He promises complete forgiveness and eternal life to all who do (Mark 1:15; John 3:16; Romans 10:9–13).
Why a campaign site opens with this
Because abolition is a fruit, not the root. We do not believe Britain’s deepest problem is its abortion law; the law is the symptom of a nation — and often a church — that has forgotten God. Only the gospel deals with that. And because the same cross that condemns the shedding of innocent blood is the place where the guilty are washed clean: there is full mercy for every mother, father, nurse, doctor and silent bystander who repents.
Justice and mercy are not rivals. They met at the cross — blood and water (John 19:34; 1 John 5:6).
