Why it matters
Pornography fuels adultery and fornication, breaks marriages and wounds children. The industry has profited from child abuse, rape and trafficking. Every click funds it.
Why it's the Government's job
God gives rulers the sword to restrain evil and protect the vulnerable:
He is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
Law teaches a nation what is right. Until 2000, hardcore pornography could not legally be sold in Britain, and in America the Comstock Act still bans obscene material from the mail. This is not new ground. It is recovering lost ground.
Will they act?
Not at first. But every signature is a witness from God's people that this evil must stop, and a loud enough witness cannot be ignored.
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
