Raise a family that loves life
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 · Psalm 127:3 · Titus 2:3-5
DRAFT — awaiting editorial review.
“Children are a heritage from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3). A culture that kills its children has forgotten this, and no law will teach it again. It is learned at kitchen tables, from fathers and mothers who speak of God’s words to their children “when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise” (Deuteronomy 6:7). The home is the first and oldest school of the worth of a human being.
That makes parents abolitionists whether they meant to be or not. Every child who grows up knowing that his younger brother was a person when he was a bump, that a baby is a gift and not a cost, and that the strong exist to protect the weak, is a witness the abortion industry cannot answer. Your family is not a retreat from the fight; it is one of its front lines.
There is also work outside your door. Paul tells older women to teach the younger “to love their husbands and children” (Titus 2:4). Much of the killing in Britain happens because a frightened woman cannot see how she could possibly raise a child. A family that opens its table, its spare room and its diary to her shows her how. That is not a programme; it is hospitality, and it saves lives.
We are forgiven people raising forgiven children for a world that needs to know its Maker. Start here.

Then, your part
- Do one practical thing for a mother near you
Read this short piece and pick one thing your family can do for a woman facing an unexpected pregnancy.
- Learn what the Bible says about marriage and children
Work through the training together, then talk it over at the table with your children.
- Write to your church
Ask your elders to teach on this and to adopt the Declaration; a letter from a family carries weight.
- Pray as a household
Add the unborn to your family prayers, by name where you know names, every day.
