Exodus 31:3-5 · Psalm 90:17

DRAFT — awaiting editorial review.

When God wanted a tent made for His name, He did not only call a priest. He called Bezalel and “filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic designs” (Exodus 31:3-4). Craft is a gift of the Spirit. The hands that cut stone and set type and mix a track are doing the Lord’s work when they do it for Him.

The men and women who ended the slave trade knew this. A potter in Staffordshire made a small medallion of a kneeling African in chains, and it went onto hairpins, snuffboxes and bracelets across the country until a nation that had never seen a slave ship could not stop seeing one. A picture did what a thousand speeches could not. Abortion survives in Britain because nobody has to look at it. Makers are the people who make us look.

So we ask for one piece, not a portfolio. One poster, one song for a church to sing, one ninety-second film, one well-cut paragraph, one working component. Make it in the house style, black and white with red or blue, so it sits beside everything else as one voice. Take any figure from the share cards so that the movement never contradicts itself. Then send it in.

“Let the favour of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands” (Psalm 90:17). That is our prayer over your bench. Begin here.

Then, your part

  1. Make one piece in the house style

Pick your craft from the gift groups and make one thing: black and white, with red or blue, nothing else.

  2. Keep every figure consistent

If your piece carries a number, take it from the share cards on this page so the movement speaks with one voice.

  3. See the leaflet house style

The leaflet shows how we lay out evidence, cite it, and keep it readable at arm's length.

  4. Send it to the literature team

Volunteer under literature, displays and branding, and attach or link your piece.
